The beauty of cPanel-based shared hosting is that most of the things come prepared out of the box, and they work automagically ✨! However, there comes a moment in every web developer’s life when you need to broaden your knowledge and do something custom with your shared hosting.

Whether you wish to enable global CDN and firewall solutions like Cloudflare, decide to take DNS management into your own hands, or create some fancy reverse proxy solution, you must know on which IP your shared hosting is hosted.

So, how can you find it?

The easiest, but not the fastest, way is to ask your hosting provider if they didn’t provide it in your email when your account was provisioned.

But suppose you’re in a rush, and your hosting operator hasn’t provided the IP or decided to change the shared hosting IP without notifying you 🙈. In that case, you can easily find the IP address of your shared hosting account in the right sidebar on your cPanel homepage, as illustrated in the image below.
